Description

Gorgeous green color from the massive olivine peridot with delicate magnetite tracery. Holds up well when cabbing (avoid aggressive grits and use a light touch to minimize undercutting) and produces exquisite gems. Peridot is the modern birthstone for people born during the month of August. Rare and unusual.
The photo which includes the measure/ruler was taken dry, the material in the other pictures was dampened to better approximate how the colors and patterns may intensify after being polished. Not as yellow as appears in the photos. I made photos in direct sun.
