  • Condition: Reels in excellent condition. No cracks. Some reels have labels, a couple have a stamp on one side. Tape is NOT back treated and samples played well. Boxes all sound, most have writing or labels on back and spine.

    Description

    These Polyline reels are an economical choice compared to metal reels.
    They all include approx 3600ft of recorded tape, none of which is back-treated, so will not shed. I've confirmed the thickness of the tape on every reel with an accurate digital caliper, and all the reels are generously filled. These were all sourced from a radio station by the previous owner and, from the appearance of the tape and timeframe are probably Ampex 600 series. I can't guarantee that, of course, but it's decent tape for non-critical home recording, priced at a fraction of current manufacture new tape.
