Marcellus girls soccer keeps state drive alive with OT win in Class B quarterfinal

Syracuse, N.Y. — Lexie Fragnito banged in a goal with less than 10 minutes remaining in the second overtime on Saturday to pace Marcellus to a 1-0 win over Mechanicville in a state Class B girls soccer quarterfinal.
After slipping past the No. 2-ranked state team, No. 1 Marcellus (20-0-2) advances to a semifinal match against Bronxville Sept. 16 at Cortland High School.
